You’ll join a third‑generation professional truffle hunter from Alba in Piedmont, learning hands‑on truffle hunting techniques passed down since my grandfather began after the Second World War; he taught my father, who taught me, and now I’ll share some of those closely held secrets with you. On the outdoor hunt you’ll meet my three trained dogs-Lisa, Palli & Isi-and see how I work as a dog trainer to locate the precious hypogean fungus, while my friend Margherita, an official tourist guide, passionately translates and explains every part of the hunting so you understand local truffle culture. This intimate experience in Alba lets you discover family traditions, practical dog‑assisted methods, and the rich truffle heritage of Piedmont, all tailored for curious travelers who want a memorable, authentic activity.

Summary: Great experience with Massimiliano, his family ( daughter Asia) and friend and interpreter Lucia. You will feel unique, see the dogs finding the truffles and touching them as they gets out of the soil is quite spectacular. Returning in their beautiful house and having country style lunch with great food, wines and all kind of truffles dishes is unique. Their welcoming atmosphere is grandiose and you feel like special guests. Buying white truffles at a decent price is another reason to visit them. Thanks again François & Janique from Montreal, Canada.
